The Cincinnati Bengals lead the New Orleans Saints 13-3 at the end of the first half Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
The Bengals scored on a 12-yard Andy Dalton pass to tight end Jermaine Greshman. The tight end fumbled the ball at the goal line but recovered it in the end zone. Cincinnati tacked on Mike Nugent field goals from 22 and 42 yards, the last coming as time expired in the half.
That last field goal was set up by a long run by rookie Jeremy Hill.
New Orleans scored on a 31-yard Shayne Graham field goal. The Saints had another good scoring chance but were stopped at fourth-and-goal from the 1-yard line.
Quarterback Drew Brees was 15 of 20 for 118 yards while Mark Ingram ran the ball 14 times for 33 yards. Travaris Cadet was the leading receiver with three catches for 24 yards.
