New Orleans Saints kicker Blake Grupe stopped by the Saints Podcast on radio row ahead of Super Bowl LIX on Monday, Feb. 3 to talk about the week and the upcoming season. Grupe said he had a busy week of festivities in the run up to Super Bowl LIX.
"I am shocked about how much stuff I have, just being a kicker, just being me," he said
Grupe tossed the coin for the Salute to Service Wheelchair Football Game and participated in the Gleason Celebrity Golf Classic alongside a number of other current Saints and Saints legends.
The specialist said he would ramp up his offseason work to prepare for 2025 after Super Bowl week after he hit 27 of 31 field goals in his 2024 campaign.
"I felt like I had a really good year, and I was hitting the ball really well the whole season," Grupe said. "And so I didn't really want to stop. So, I'm going to get back in there and just continue to improve on what I was able to do this year."
Grupe said he didn't know what sort of changes the Coach Kellen Moore would make but is excited for another opportunity.
"All I know is I'm ready for another opportunity with somebody else to prove myself and continue on this little journey we're on," Grupe said.
