Creecy and Labit Named Chevron/Saints Teachers of the Week

The Chevron/Saints Teachers of the Week from Orleans Parish and the Recovery School District were recognized at the Saints' last home game of the regular season versus the Panthers this past Sunday for their outstanding commitment to the development and education of the students at their respective schools.

The honor was awarded to Mrs. Constance Creecy and Mrs. Stacey Labit.

Constance Creecy is a New Orleans native and a 43-year veteran to our city's public school teaching system.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Southern University and a Masters degree from Xavier University.  Currently teaching 3rd grade at Lafayette Academy Charter School, Constance is known for consistently challenging and supporting her students. She also provides individual attention to each of her students and is well-respected by them for doing so.

Constance has been a primary contributor to her school's success and is highly valued by everyone in her school.

Graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Middle School Math & Science Education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Stacey Labit currently teaches Middle School Science at Esperanza Charter School.  The Loreauville, Louisiana native is known for being tough, but fair, and believes in a hands-on approach to learning that maximizes her students' appreciation of science, while making it a fun experience for them.  Stacey also spends countless hours outside of the classroom coaching the cheerleading squad and tutoring students in need.

Congratulations again to Constance Creecy and Stacey Labit, Chevron/Saints Teachers of the Week!
