The New Orleans Saints selected linebacker Danny Stutsmanfrom Oklahoma with the 112th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
A 6-foot-4 senior from Windermere, Fla., was a cornerstone of Oklahoma's defense over the past three seasons. The consensus All-American and Butkus Award finalist finished ninth in school history with 376 career tackles for the Sooners. At the 2025 NFL Combine, Stutsman impressed with his size and agility as the two-time All-Conference selection drew comparisons to some of the league's top inside linebackers.

NFL.com overview on Danny Stutsman: Inside linebacker with size and instincts to post a board full of high totals as a tackler. Stutsman is football smart with studious play recognition to stay one step ahead of blockers. His downhill flows narrow the runner's angles and he's accomplished at slipping around blockers or sliding off of them to tackle. His block take-on needs work, though. He's efficient and productive near the line, but his effectiveness and tackling dip once the play moves into space. Stutsman is an adequate athlete with good size and special-teams talent, showing the potential to become a starting inside 'backer.
