In 2013, the Pro Bowl-bound Brees once again enjoying a standout regular season, as he completed 446 -of-650 passes (68.6%) for 5,162 yards, 39 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, three rushing touchdowns and a 104.7 passer rating, ranking among NFL leaders in all statistical categories.

Best Game: In the regular season finale against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brees completed 24 of 31 passes for 381 yards and four touchdowns for a season-high quarterback rating of 157.4. Additionally, Brees ran for a touchdown in the 42-17 win against the divisional rival.

Brees on the 2013 season: "I felt as good this year at times as I've ever felt. Throwing the football, just seeing things, processing things and that obviously got me excited, feeling like I can do this for a long time. (I've been) playing at a high level for a long time now. That part gets tougher. Obviously as you get older there are other things week to week, the challenge of keeping your body ready to play at the highest level, that type of thing. That's Mother Nature catching up with all of us, but I don't feel like I've physically, mentally, psychologically (lost anything). I still feel like I'm on this upward tick. I certainly won't let myself believe otherwise."
