New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and running back Mark Ingram II have been nominated for Castrol Edge Clutch Performer of the Year after their standout performances during the 207-2018 season. The award is given to the best performer or performance of the week that represents strength in key moments.
In Week 11, Brees completed 29 of 41 passes for 385 yards and two touchdowns for a 106.2 passer rating in the New Orleans Saints' 34-31 overtime win against the Washington Redskins. He helped the Saints become the first team in the Super Bowl era to win its next eight games after an 0-2 start.
In Week 10, Ingram rushed for 131 yards on 21 carries and three touchdowns in the New Orleans Saints' 47-10 win over the Buffalo Bills. He joined George Rogers and Ricky Williams as the only Saints players to rush for at least 130 yards and three touchdowns in a game.
Brees was selected as Castrol Clutch Performer of the Week in Week 11 and Ingram was selected in Week 6 and Week 10.
Other nominees: Carson Wentz (Eagles), Antonio Brown (Steelers), Stefon Diggs (Vikings).
