Drew Brees named NFL's FedEx Air Player of the Week for fifth time this season

Drew Brees was also named NFC's Offensive Player of the Week

New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees has been named the FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week for the fifth time this season, the league announced Thursday.

Brees also won the accolade for his performances against the Miami Dolphins (Week 4), Buffalo Bills (Week 8), Dallas Cowboys (Week 10) and Carolina Panthers (Week 14).

The Saints quarterback threw for 381 yards and four touchdowns in the Saints' 42-17 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

Brees was also named the NFC's Offensive Player of the Week.
