Drew Brees nominated for FedEx Air Player of the Week for Panthers performance

Drew Brees threw four touchdowns in the Sunday night win

New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees has been nominated for the FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week for the sixth time this season, the league announced Tuesday.

Brees has won the weekly honor three times this season (against Dolphins, Bills and Cowboys).

The Saints quarterback threw for 313 yards and four touchdowns in the team's 31-13 victory against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

Along with Brees, Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning and Chicago Bears QB Josh McCown are up for the award.

The winner will be announced on Friday.
