The Gregg Williams Foundation ispleasedto announce a fundraiser at Nacho Mama's Mexican Grill for the second consecutiveyear. The Gregg Williams Foundationa ims to support the local educational and athletic programs in New Orleans and in his hometown of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, as well as generating donations for the improvement of the whole community. The fundraiser will take place on Wednesday, July 21stfrom 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Nacho Mama's South Clearview Parkway location.
This year's party will be marked by the presence of the New Orleans Saints' Lombardi Trophy, which the team won after their 31-17 Super Bowl victory against the Indianapolis Colts. All members of the public that purchase tickets to the event for the fundraiser will have theopportunity to take pictures with the iconic trophy.
Throughout the evening, there will also be anopportunity to bid on countless unique items duringthe popular silent auction. This includes many autographed pieces by Saints' players,most notably a guitar signed by the entire defensive line.
After 8 p.m., Nacho Mama's will open its doors to the general public for a full party including a DJ amongst other amenities. The doors close around midnight.
Ticekts are currently available for the fundraiser, beginning at $60 per ticket. The ticket includes samplings of all Nacho Mama's delicious food to complement the specialty tequila and beer tastings. About The Gregg Williams Foundation
The Gregg Williams Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in December 2004 to provide support and funding to local school programs, to support programs for kids in the Excelsior Springs, MO area and provide funding to improve the Excelsior Springs community. The foundation is named for Gregg Williams, a 1976 Excelsior Springs High School graduate who was a record-breaking Tiger athlete in basketball, baseball, and football, was a former ESSD coach and teacher, a 2006 Excelsior Springs Hall of Fame inductee, and is presently Defensive Coordinator of the New Orleans Saints
The primary source of income for the Foundation is derived from various fund-raising activities that include a local golf tournament (Gregg Williams Tiger Classic), VIP Reception, various auctions of donated items, raffles, cash donations and key sponsorship of the Excelsior Springs High School annual Hall of Fame dinner and awards ceremony. To date, the Foundation has raised over $700,000 and has a goal to reach $800,000 by the end of 2010.
