S Roman Harper was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Saints dramatic 26-23 overtime win against the Falcons in the Georgia Dome on Sunday.
After coaches' film review, Harper was credited with 16 tackles, two altered passes, one sack, one pass defensed and two tackles for losses.
It marks the 2nd time this season Harper has been named NFC Defensive Player of the Week. He also earned the honor for the Bears game.
Harper leads the Saints in tackles (69) and sacks (6.5). The two-time Pro Bowler's 6.5 sacks leads all NFL defensive backs this season.
