New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced Saturday that restricted free agent tackle Jammal Brownsigned his tender offer Friday and that the club has agreed to trade Brown to the Washington Redskins for an undisclosed pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.
Brown, 29, was a first-round selection of the Saints in the 2005 draft out of the University of Oklahoma and started all 58 games he played for New Orleans over five seasons. The two-time Pro Bowl selection missed all of the 2009 season after suffering hip and sports hernia injuries during the preseason and was placed on injured reserve in September.
