Junior Galette
Linebacker
New Orleans Saints
Why were you so confident that you guys were going to turn this season around after the Detroit Lions game?
"We stuck together. No one pointed fingers at each other. We stuck together and had great leadership. We have a lot of young guys but we still had guys like Curtis Lofton and I who just brought the team together. We told each other that we were going to get through this. Tough times don't last, and here we are, first place in the division. We can't get complacent because we know how bad it feels to be number three, or whatever we were, before this day."
How difficult was it having two games in five days?
"It was tough on your body. But as Sean Payton said, you can't come in here and lose. We can't have excuses and say we played two games in five days. Obviously we're class athletes and if there's anyone that can do it, we can. I think this was the second time in history that we played a Sunday night game and then a Thursday night game. We don't make excuses. Sean took care of us. We had walk through all week and a simple game plan."

Having a high carry count coming off injury
"I've never carried the ball 30 times since high school, I think my most at Alabama was maybe 24 or 27, something like that."
Getting the feature back duties
"I knew coming in that I would have to shoulder a lot of the load along with (Travaris) Cadet. I just wanted to do my job when it was time to step up and just take advantage of the opportunity that presented itself."
What was the talk on the sideline after the first two turnovers?
"We knew that we could move the ball and we just had to stay confident. We just had to eliminate those turnovers and just settle in, calm down, relax and we would be able to move the ball."

Defensive End
New Orleans Saints
Defensive line success the past two games
"Honestly between me, Junior (Galette) and the interior line, we have a great push in that middle that allows us to get off the edge pretty well. Even with all the chips I think our secondary has been playing a stellar two games. Keenan Lewis pretty much shut down whoever the big kid was for Carolina, minus maybe one catch. As for the defensive line, that pressure up the middle is so crucial for the ends."
Stopping their run game
"DeAngelo (Williams) came in and we were aware of what type of runner he is while at the same time we were aware of the defensive matchup that we were coming up upon with their offensive line. Normally we go in there looking very hungry towards their offensive line, especially this week, they had a couple guys go down due to injury and when you catch a break you've got to go full stride."

Cornerback

On the talk of not being able to win on the road…
"We knew we're a good football team. We knew we had to come out and get this win to be No. 1 in the division. If you look at the games we lost on the road, it was a total of six points in three games, so we knew it could be done."
On the pressure they put on Cam Newton tonight…
"Definitely key. As a guy, the most mobile quarterback in the league, to make all the throws on the run, he made one tonight on me that I was like "Wow." We knew we had to make sure he couldn't get his rhythm."
Kenny Stills
Wide Receiver
New Orleans Saints
Thoughts on the road victory
"It's just great to get another win for us right now. We've struggled on the road and people have given us a hard time about it so to come out here and play like we did and come out with a victory is big time."
Offense opening up at the end of the half
"I felt like the defense was playing well and the offense was just going to have to continue to push and keep pounding and eventually things would open up for us and they did."
Playing on the short week
"No, it's the schedule and we knew we had to come out and play on Thursday night after a Sunday night game. We can't make any excuses for it; we just have to come out here and play and try to do our best to come out with the victory."
Kenny Vaccaro
Safety
New Orleans Saints
On allowing just one touchdown…
"I think we did a good job. We went out and executed the defense. When things weren't going the offense's way, we just kept fighting and trying to try to get them the ball back."
On the impact of turnovers in the game…
"We were down I think two in the takeaways, and we knew we had to get two or three, especially on the road. Any time you get down like that, the defense has to respond, so that was our goal."
