New Orleans Saints sign WR Joseph Morgan to a one-year contract

Joe Morgan has played 19 games with the New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints have signed wide receiver Joseph Morgan to a one-year contract. The announcement was made by Saints' Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis.

Morgan, 6-1, 184, was first signed by New Orleans as an undrafted free agent 2011 out of Walsh University in his hometown of Canton, Ohio. He's appeared in 19 career games with seven starts and has posted 14 receptions for 471 yards (33.6 avg.) with three touchdowns. In 2014, he returned to action after missing the 2013 campaign with a knee injury and played in five games with two starts, making four receptions for 92 yards (23.0 avg.). In a Nov. 24 contest vs. Baltimore, he caught a 62-yard pass and also had a carry for a gain of 67 yards, the longest rushing play by a Saint since 2004.
