Referee Gene Steratore, other officials worked with New Orleans Saints last week

Steratore was mic'd up for Saturday's scrimmage

White Sulphur Springs, W. Va. - Referee Gene Steratore and a group of officials spent three days with the New Orleans Saints last week going over rule changes and rules that will be empahsized during the 2014 season. Steratore met with players, coaches and media before his group officiated the Black and Gold Scrimmage at the team's training complex at The Greenbrier Resort.

"This started to give us a sense of what we're about to undertake in the next week, and the next 20 weeks, and maybe more than that," Steratore said. "I thought it was fantastic. The tempo was great. The players really worked hard, and it was good for us to get into that moment again."

Steratore agreed to wear a wireless microphone during the scrimmage for NewOrleansSaints.com and a video package with his sound from the scrimmage is posted above this article and can also be watched here.
