With the Saints and Texans set to face off in an hour for New Orleans' preseason opener, roster moves have occurred for both clubs.
New Orleans re-signed FB Jason McKie yesterday and waived/injured FB Marcus Mailei. McKie, is an eight year veteran, who was signed by New Orleans in the offseason after spending most of his career as Chicago's starting fullback. Mailei appeared in two games last season for the Saints before being placed on injured reserve.
The Texans placed TE Darnell Bing on injured reserve and signed free agent LB Will Patterson yesterday.
For the Saints, LB Clint Ingram and S Darren Sharper will not play. Malcolm Jenkins will start in Sharper's place at strong safety.
For Houston, WR Andre Davis, WR Dorin Dickerson, CB Antwaun Molden, RB Ben Tate, LB Xavier Adibi, C Brett Helms, TE Owen Daniels and TE Anthony Hill will not play.
