When the New Orleans Saints face the Tennessee Titans this evening, a number of players will not be in the lineup as the coaching staff turns its focus to evaluation of some of the younger players on the roster. Among the players who will not play tonight are QB Drew Brees, WR Marques Colston, CB Tracy Porter, RB Reggie Bush, S Pierson Prioleau, CB Jabari Greer, S Roman Harper, S Darren Sharper, FB Heath Evans, LB Jonathan Vilma, LB Stanley Arnoux, LB Clint Ingram, LB Scott Shanle, T Zach Strief, TE Jeremy Shockey, DE Will Smith and DT Sedrick Ellis.
Offensively, Patrick Ramsey will get the start at quarterback before giving way to Chase Daniel. Lance Moore will start at wideout in place of Colston. David Thomas will start at tight end. Zak Keasey is scheduled to open the game at fullback, while Pierre Thomas will be New Orleans' featured back at the start of the game.
Defensively, Bobby McCray will start in place of Smith at end. Anthony Hargrove will start for Ellis at tackle. Jo-Lonn Dunbar will open on the strongside for Shanle, while Marvin Mitchell gets the nod in the middle in place of Vilma. At cornerback, Rookie Patrick Robinson and Randall will start. Chris Reis will open at strong safety.
