Third-quarter update:The New Orleans Saints added a 41-yard Garrett Hartley field goal to extend their lead to 17-13 at the end of three quarters Thursday night at the Georgia Dome.

The teams combined for three punts in the period

Key stats: Saints, Drew Brees, 17 of 25 for 213 yards and two TDs; Pierre Thomas, seven carries for 51 yards, Jimmy Graham five catches for 100 yards. Falcons, Matt Ryan, 21 of 28 for 205 yards.
