White Sulphur Springs, W. Va. - Monday was the final full practice before the first scheduled off day for the New Orleans Saints at training camp 2015 presented by Verizon. Here are some observations from the 2- hour, 10-minute session in full pads.
- The announcement of Morten Andersen as the newest inductee to the Saints Ring of Honor was a special moment for the organization. Andersen was at camp Sunday and Monday. The Saints kickers in camp had the luxury of not only having Andersen here, but Saints Hall of Famer John Carney, too. Carney completes his role as a special coaching consultant Monday afternoon.
- The Saints' offensive line appeared to have a strong day, especially blocking for their running backs. Luke McCown looked very sharp. And the competition at wide receiver is red hot with several nice plays from Joe Morgan and Brandon Coleman.
- Great to see Stanley Jean-Baptiste with an interception in seven-on-seven drills. There's real progress for him right now. And a big opportunity continues for both Kasim Edebali and Delvin Breaux. They continue to line up first team when the Saints show their sub (nickel) package.
