Spencer Rattler talks rookie season, preparation for next year | Saints Podcast Rewind

Super Bowl LIX radio row interview recap with Spencer Rattler

New Orleans Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler talked about his rookie year on the Saints Podcast on radio row ahead of Super Bowl LIX on Thursday, Feb. 6.

Rattler was called into action in seven games, six starts, in his debut season with the Black and Gold after being selected in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

"I got a lot of great experiences from the games I played in," Rattler said. "Obviously, not easy circumstances, kind of thrown in the fire, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I think that's going to propel me and prepare me for what's to come."

The rookie completed 130 of his 228 attempts for 1,317 yards and four touchdowns. Rattler played against playoff teams in all but one of the games he hit the field.

"It was good to go through a little adversity as a team and personally, learned a ton, put a lot of good stuff on tape and a lot of good stuff to learn from and improve on," Rattler said. "So, I'm looking forward to what's to come."

Rattler said he's already preparing for the season back in his hometown.

"I'm already in the works of getting better, got a good routine going back home in Arizona at Exos, just on the physical part of the game, and then the mental part," he said.
