Terron Armstead: 2013 season in review

Taking a look at the tackle's rookie season

Left tackle Terron Armstead

Armstead started the final two regular season games and both playoff games. The club's first third round draft choice in 2013 was inactive for 10 of the teams first 14 games and only saw limited action on special teams in those games.

Armstead made his first start in week 16 at Carolina and spurred the running game to 126 yards.

Best game: Armstead's best performance came in his postseason debut in the NFC wild-card game at Philadelphia. The rookie blocked for a unit that had 185 yards rushing to help lead the Saints to their first postseason road win in team history.

Sean Payton on Armstead: "From the day he was inserted, certainly there are some growing pains, but he showed a lot just beginning with that Carolina game. I haven't looked completely at this film, but those are important pieces."
