The New Orleans Saints organization congratulates Ochsner Medical Center for being recognized by U.S. News and World Report as Louisiana's Best Hospital. Ochsner also ranked nationally in 11 specialties.
With nearly 5,000 hospitals in the United States, only 148 ranked nationally in even one specialty. Ochsner Medical Center is only one of 25 hospitals across the country to rank nationally in 11 or more specialties.
"Ochsner is a valued exclusive partner with both the Saints and Pelicans and to see the U.S. News and World Report list them as Louisiana's best hospital once again is no surprise," said Saints and Pelicans Owner/Chairman of the Board Tom Benson. "We are proud to call them a partner and we are proud of our association with them not only as health providers for both of our organizations but as leaders in our community. It is important that we all lead by example and I am very proud of both the Saints and Pelicans as we try to do this both on and off the field and court. Ochsner does that as well as a leader in medicine and in the community. Congratulations to Ochsner Medical Center and to the doctors, nurses and employees who care for our community every day."
Ochsner is a staple of healthcare in the Gulf Coast Region, performing 8,698 annual inpatient and 13,961 outpatient surgeries with 115,614 emergency room visits. These numbers represent the hard work and dedication that the doctors and employees put into our community each day.
