The New Orleans Saints opened training camp Friday with 87 players on the active roster as wide receiver Marques Colston, cornerback Patrick Robinson and linebacker Victor Butler were placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.
Butler was injured in June and is not expected to participate in training camp. Robinson had a knee scope in the offseason and Coach Sean Payton said Thursday his progress "has been outstanding."
Colston, the team's top wide receiver, has a foot injury that Payton said the team would rest for a few days.
