New Orleans Saints fans voted the team's Sunday Night Football contest against the Dallas Cowboys on Oct. 4 as the 2015 home game they are most excited about in a poll on the team's website last week.
The Cowboys contest earned 58 percent of the 1,075 vote. Following the Cowboys game, the Thursday night game against the Falcons (25 percent) and the Monday Night game against the Lions (7 percent) rounded out the top three.
Although the Cowboys lead the all-time series 16-11, the Saints have won four of the last five meetings at home. The Saints and Cowboys will play each other for the fourth consecutive season, the third consecutive time on Sunday Night Football. While New Orleans dropped a 38-17 contest at Dallas in 2014, the Saints defeated the Cowboys 49-17 in 2013 when they set an NFL single-game record with 40 first downs and set the single-game franchise record on offense with 625 total net yards.
