New Orleans Saints tight end Benjamin Watson continues to impress on and off the football field. On Tuesday, Dec. 9, Watson hosted a holiday shopping event "The Big BENefit" 2014 through his foundation One More.
Twenty-five caretakers of families from the New Orleans Family Justice Center gathered at the Wal-Mart in Harahan where they were greeted by Watson and his wife Kirsten.
The participants were surprised when they heard why they were waiting in the automotive department, for a $325r shopping spree. They were equally surprised when they realized who their personal shopper would be for the evening. Caretakers were each paired up with one of the 20 New Orleans Saints players, including Drew Brees, Jimmy Graham and Brandin Cooks, who all showed up to support their teammate.
"The Big BENefit is a Christmas toy giveaway that my wife and I have done for the past four or five years through our foundation One More," Watson said. "One More's whole purpose is to spread the love and hope of Christ to one more soul by meeting people's needs."
