Former Saints CB Mike McKenzie will host an evening of entertainment to take place on Wednesday, July 2 at 6:00 p.m. to benefit his 34 Ways Foundation and programs in the New Orleans community. The event will still take place at the Parish music hall at the House of Blues on 225 Decatur Street starting at 6 p.m. The event for which a mask is mandatory and costume optional will feature complimentary bar bites, drink specials and musical performances by Sharon Schech & the Rebel Yell, Johnny Hozey & Chuck Lofton, Kipori Woods Blues and George Porter Jr. with Brian Stoltz.
Proceeds from the event will benefit McKenzie's 34 Ways foundation, which provides guidance and encouragement to children ages 11-18 through football camps, activities and programs. Its mission is to help kids by promoting sports, academics and other mentoring programs that build character, teach discipline, and encourage good health and education.
Tickets can be purchased in advance through Live Nation (http://bit.ly/34WaysFUNdraiserHOB) until 5 p.m. Wednesday or at the House of Blues box office. Those who bring a new and packaged school supply or sporting goods item to the box office will be receive a $10 discount off a ticket. Those who purchase a VIP ticket will have access to the House of Blues Foundation Room for the entire evening.
