New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced today that the club has agreed to terms with tight end Juwan Johnson on a three-year contract extension.

Johnson, 6-4, 231, has played in 67 games with 34 starts since joining New Orleans in 2020 as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon. In five seasons, Johnson has recorded 146 receptions for 1,622 yards (11.1 avg) and 18 touchdowns. Since 2022, Johnson's 14 touchdown grabs are tied for seventh in the NFL among tight ends.

In 2024, the Glassboro, New Jersey native played in all 17 contests with five starts, posting career-highs in receptions (50), receiving yards (548) and added three touchdowns. Johnson's 548 receiving yards in 2024 were also a team-high.

A college wideout who converted to tight end in 2021, Johnson joined the Saints following a graduate transfer season for the Ducks in 2019, where he recorded 30 receptions for 467 yards and six touchdowns. Prior to his arrival in Eugene, Johnson played three seasons at Penn State (2016-18), where he enjoyed his most productive college season in 2017, ranking seventh in the Big Ten in receptions (54) and receiving yards (701).
