The New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons are participating in a DonorsChoose.org Showdown in the days leading up to the Thursday night game.
For Thursday's game against the Falcons, students at Marie Riviere Elementary School in Metairie will be competing against students of Camp Creek Middle School in College Park.
The winning school is determined by the total number of fan votes received to support their respective projects.
Marie Riviere School's project is outdoor equipment for students during recess, including an Active Play Kit. Learn more about their project here.
The program was launched last year by the NFL in partnership with DonorsChoose.org where two deserving youth health and fitness projects from the cities of the two teams competing in the Thursday Night Football game compete for the chance for their project to be 100% funded by NFL PLAY 60.
The winning project will be funded 100% by NFL PLAY 60, and the other will receive funding of 50%.
Voting started on Saturday, Nov. 16 at www.NFLRUSH.com/choose and will close at 10:59pm CST on Thursday, Nov. 21.
