Saints fans that live in Mississippi can now reserve one of 300 state license plates that commemorate the Saints' 31-17 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIV.
The plates will help raise money for the Infinity Science Center, an interactive science center under construction in Hancock County and expected to open in 2011. One the 300 plates are pre-sold, the Mississippi State Tax Commission will begin production of the specialty plates.
The license plate features a white background with the Saints' "Old Gold" bordering the top third of the plate with the Saints' trademarked logo, the Fleur-de-Lis, in the upper left-hand corner. Below the license plate serial numbers are the black and boldfaced words "World Champions" with the Super Bowl XLIV official logo interspaced in-between the words.
The first 300 plates can be reserved at www.infinitysciencecenter.org and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The plates are only available to residents of Mississippi and can only be purchased for a vehicle currently licensed in Mississippi.
