Each week during the 2011 season, one New Orleans Saints player will be recognized by Morton's The Steakhouse for their outstanding efforts in the community.
Punter Thomas Morstead was selected as the recipient for this the well-deserved honor at the Saints vs. Bears regular season home opener. Since Morstead's rookie year, he has participated in countless community events including weekly school visits, hospital visits, and annual holiday events, just to name a few. No matter the location or cause, he engulfs himself in each appearance time after time, and becomes an easy fan-favorite after showcasing his warm personality. Although a Tuesday is his only off-day out of the week, he is always certain to commit a few hours out of his day to helping his Saints community.
Congratulations again to Thomas Morstead, Morton's the Steakhouse Community Player of the Week!
