New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced today that the club signed linebacker Andrew Dowell and defensive tackle Camron Peterson, waived defensive back Kaleb Ford-Dement and waived/injured defensive end Trajan Jeffcoat.

Dowell, 6-0, 238, is a three-year NFL veteran who was originally signed by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan State in 2019. In his career, he has
appeared in 34 games for the Saints and recorded 21 special teams tackles, two coverage fumbles and one defensive stop. Missing the 2023 season with a season-ending knee
injury suffered in the preseason, Dowell played in all 17 games in 2022 and had seven coverage tackles and two special teams forced fumbles.

Peterson, 6-5, 280, joins the Saints after originally signing a free agent contract with the Baltimore Ravens out of Southern in 2023, where he played his last two college seasons after starting his career at McNeese State. In 2022, he Peterson had a career-high 16 tackles and 3.5 sacks for the Jaguars. The Houston, Texas native participated in the 2024 Saints veterans minicamp on a tryout basis.
