Rookie New Orleans Saints defensive end Tavaris Barnes returned home to Jacksonville during the bye week and created an outreach program - "Comin' Bacc to Give Bacc" - to provide food and necessities to the needy.
Barnes spent some of his time off at Trinity Rescue Misson on Wednesday, Nov. 18.
He provided toys, toiletries, food and cold-weather comforts to the Trinity Rescue.
"I feel like a lot of people that make it from here don't ever really give back, and I always said, 'I will never be that guy,'" Barnes said to Joy Purdy of Jacksonville's News 4. "There's no way God has put me in a position to have all of this money and not give back,' you know? So that's what I'm doing."
