On Sunday, April 17, New Orleans Saints team ambassador Michael Lewis enjoyed an afternoon of bowling as well as a show of support for local Special Olympics athletes at their 2011 Sol Bowl event at Colonial Bowling Lanes in Harahan.

Lewis, as well as the Special Olympians, members from local sports teams and media figures were teamed up in groups of four and battled in three game sets. Others players served as cheerleaders for the participants.

Everyone in attendance had the opportunity to receive autographs and pose for pictures with the players. Additionally, the Saints community affairs donated several items used in a silent auction, raffle, and strike table collection to benefit Special Olympics
