New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Payton and Ochsner Health System will host the 2013 Black and Gold Gala on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with the event starting at 6 p.m.
The event will raise funds for Payton's Play It Forward Foundation. The foundation's mission is to raise funds and awareness for organizations working with families and children in the areas of health, education and social welfare.
The event will include an all-star line-up including ESPN analyst Jon Gruden, who will serve as master of ceremonies, as well as a special appearance by country music artist Kenny Chesney and honorary chair for the evening, John Besh.
Funds raised this year will be distributed to Feed the Children, The John Besh Foundation and the Saints Courage House, helping families and children in need along the Gulf Coast.
The gala will include both silent and live auctions, seated dinner and entertainment. There will be a limited number of sponsorships and individual tickets available for this event.
