Harahan, La. – Team up with past and present NFL, NBA and MLB players, as well as, local news and sports media personalities to bowl for a good cause! Special Olympics Louisiana, The NFL Players Association, Kenner and Harahan Police Departments, invite businesses and the community to register their team of four for the 11th Annual SOL Bowl fundraiser. This event joins you and your team with local celebrities and SOLA athletes all bowling together while enjoying a day of fun, food, and music.
The event is open to the public and will be held on Sunday, April 21st at 11:30 am to 3:00 pm at Colonial Bowling Lanes in Harahan, Louisiana. There will be food, drinks, raffle items, awards for those who bowl a strike and a silent auction. Special Olympics Louisiana (SOLA) is a state-wide, 501© 3 Non-profit organization, that changes lives by promoting understanding, acceptance and inclusion between people with and without intellectual disabilities.
SOLA offers year-round programs for 13,500 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in all 64 parishes with the help of 14,000 volunteers. Health, education, leadership, family, training and sports programs are available for people beginning at age 2 and there is no upper age limit. There is no cost to participate in Special Olympics.
