New Orleans Saints Owner / Vice Chairman of the Board, Rita Benson LeBlanc challenges all Saints fans to take part in the NOLA Over the Edge: S.W.A.T. Edition on Friday, November 8th! Each thrill seeker's experience will start with rappelling down the 25-story Benson Tower, then transported by helicopter to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T.) training session. Once all training has been completed, participants will receive a replica of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office S.W.A.T. team jacket, and then flown by helicopter back to Benson Tower.
It's not too late to register! You can give a Special Olympics Louisiana athlete the "edge" they need to succeed. Anyone can participate in this thrilling experience for a minimum of $1,000.
All participants will be treated like VIPs while their supporters and Special Olympics athletes cheer them on during their thrilling descent. You will not only get the experience of a lifetime, but will also help a Special Olympics Louisiana athlete gain self-confidence, athletic ability, friendships and empowerment. Special Olympics Louisiana serves more than 13,500 athletes year round; including 4,000 athletes in the Greater New Orleans area alone; and Over the Edge is one of the biggest fundraisers being held this year!
