New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced today that the club has signed tight end Treyton Welch to the practice squad and terminated the contract of tight end Mason Fairchild.

Welch, 6-4 240, arrives in New Orleans after spending the 2024 offseason with the Cleveland Browns after signing as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Wyoming following the 2024 NFL Draft. The Buffalo, Minn. native appeared in 49 games with the Cowboys over five seasons (2019-23) and recorded 77 receptions, 874 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. In 2023, Welch caught 31 passes for 308 yards and two touchdowns, earning PFF First Team All-Mountain West honors and was named a Third-Team All-American by Phil Steele.
