Saints announce Will Harris update, practice squad additions

New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced today that the club has opened the 21-day practice window for safety Will Harris and signed defensive tackle Ryder Anderson, defensive end Trajan Jeffcoat, and running back Xazavian Valladay to the practice squad.

Anderson, 6-6, 256, was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the New York Giants following the 2022 NFL Draft out of Indiana. In 2022, Anderson appeared in seven games with two starts for the Giants, recording eight tackles (four solo) and two sacks. The Katy, Texas native spent the 2023 season on New York's practice squad and participated in the Giants' 2024 traning camp. In five collegiate seasons with Ole Miss (2017-20) and Indiana (2021), Anderson played in 50 career games with 27 starts, recording 147 tackles (66 solo), 11 sacks, one pass breakup, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

Jeffcoat, 6-4, 266, joins the Saints' practice squad after he participated in 2024 training camp with New Orleans. The Columbia, S.C. native originally signed with the Black and Gold following the 2024 NFL Draft as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas. In five college seasons between Missouri (2018-22) and Arkansas (2023), Jeffcoat appeared in 60 games and totaled 101 tackles (68 solo), 15.5 sacks, 28 stops for loss, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. In his final collegiate season with the Razorbacks, Jeffcoat started all 12 games, making 16 stops with 8.5 tackles for loss and four sacks.

Valladay, 6-0, 198, was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Houston Texas following the 2023 NFL Draft out of Arizona State. In 2023, he appeared in one game for the New York Jets and participated in New York's 2024 training camp. Collegiately, Valladay spent three seasons at Wyoming (2018-21) and one year at Arizona State (2022), finishing with 841 carries for 4,466 rushing yards and 35 touchdowns along with 88 receptions 873 yards and four touchdowns. During his final collegiate season with the Sun Devils in 2022, the Chicago, Ill. native had 215 carries for 1,192 yards and 16 touchdowns, the most rushing touchdowns in the Pac-12, and added 37 receptions for 289 yards with two touchdowns.
