Bub Means talks preparation for upcoming season | Saints Podcast Rewind

Super Bowl LIX radio row interview recap with Saints wide receiver

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Bub Means stopped by and chatted about his rookie year and moving into his next season on the Saints Podcast on radio row Thursday, Feb. 6 ahead of Super Bowl LIX.

The fifth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft was limited to seven games due to injury and had nine receptions for 118 yards and a touchdown in his rookie season. Despite the health setbacks Means said everything happens for a reason and he appreciated everything.

"I enjoyed my rookie season," he said. "I enjoyed it so much. I've learned so much. I grew as a player, as a young man. And I can't wait to show y'all what I got next year."

Means said he said he expects to be working out throughout the offseason.

"I'm one of those get-to-work type guys," he said. "I don't even try to go out too much, try to go on too many vacations. I like working, I like working out. I like getting better at what I do."

Means hopes to show more run-after-the-catch ability for the 2025 season.

"I want to be able to show y'all, not only am I a deep threat, but I can take screens and short routes to the crib too," he said.

The pass catcher said he is fully cleared for the 2025 season and is more confident in his ability to maintain his health.

"I know how I want to take care of my body now. ... I got a routine now," he said. "So, I'm feeling a lot more confident going into next year. Knowing that it's a long season, knowing that I might have to play three games in 10 days, stuff like that."
