New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced Sunday that the club has signed tackle Jesse Davis. Here are five things to know about the Saints roster addition:
- A NFL veteran, Davis has appeared in 95 games with 72 starts over the course of his career. His most recent experience comes with the NFC Champions, the San Francisco 49ers, where he appeared in one contest in 2023, spending the second half of the season on the practice squad. In 2022, he appeared in 14 games for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- His longest stint was with the Miami Dolphins from 2017 to 2020 where he would appear in 63 contests, including 56 starts. He started games all along the offensive line, playing the left guard, right guard, left tackle and right tackle positions.
- Davis also spent time with the Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings organizations during his NFL career.
- At the University of Idaho, Davis was a four-year letterman from 2011-14 and three-year starter, playing in 39 games with 27 starts. He started at the defensive tackle position for his first two seasons with the Vandals before switching to the offensive line for his final two collegiate campaigns.
- Davis attended Asotin High School in Asotin, Washington, where he played tight end and defensive end as well as playing baseball and basketball.
