New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced Sunday that the club has signed guard Tremayne Anchrum Jr. Here are five things to know about the Saints roster addition:

  1. A seventh-round selection (250th overall) in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams out of Clemson University, Anchrum would spend three seasons with the Rams. He played in 31 games with one start at right guard in 2022. The 6'2, 312 lbs. guard appeared in all 17 games in 2023 as well as a playoff contest. Anchrum would be on the 2021 Rams roster that would go on to win Super Bowl LVI.
  2. In 2022 while with the Rams, Anchum was selected to be the team nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award. The team selected him for his copious volunteer and charitable work with organizations like the Hollywood Food Coalition, the Los Angeles Boys and Girls Club in East Los Angeles, Set the Expectation and several other non-profit organizations.
  3. Anchrum played in 55 games with 37 starts from 2016-2019 for Clemson University. He would become the Tigers' full-time starter at right tackle in his final two seasons, when they compiled a 29-1 record and he would earn All-ACC honors in both seasons. During his four years, he would help the Tigers to two National Championship victories (2016, 2018).
  4. Anchrum attended McEachern High School in Powder Spring, Georgia, where he played both football and basketball.
  5. Anchrum's father, Treymane Anchrum Sr., played college basketball for the University of Southern California for four seasons, appearing in 84 games for the Trojans averaging 4.9 points and 4.9 rebounds in 17.9 minutes per game. He is now the head basketball coach at McEachern High School.
