New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced Friday that the club has signed wide receiver Samson Nacua. Here are five things to know about the Saints roster addition:

1. Samson Nacua, 26, is the older brother to Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, 23, who just completed his rookie season earning All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors. The two played alongside each other during Samson's final collegiate year at BYU where Samson appeared in 12 games with 21 receptions for 329 yards and three touchdowns.

2. He most recently played for the Michigan Panthers in the UFL in 2024, where he tallied 11 receptions for 125 yards and got the opportunity to play alongside his older brother Kai Nacua, 29. Kai has appeared in games in the NFL for the San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns and New York Jets, as well as spending time with the Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers, and Indianapolis Colts.

3. The 6'3, 206 lbs. receiver signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2022 and competed throughout training camp. He finished the preseason with two receptions for 26 yards and a touchdown.

4. Before playing for BYU in 2021, Nacua played for the University of Utah from 2016-2020. Originally a walk-on, Nacua would earn a scholarship during his first camp and was redshirted his first year. In the following four seasons, he would play in 45 career games (eight starts), catching 82 passes for 1,015 yards and 11 touchdowns. He lead the team in touchdown receptions in 2018 and 2019.

5. Nacua played high school football at Timpview High School in Provo, Utah, where he racked up 2,000 career receiving yards on 106 receptions in his career. He earned first-team all-state honors his senior year after totaling 64 receptions for 1,359 yards and nine touchdowns.
